During the violent break-up of Yugoslavia in the early 1990's, some of the worst fighting took place in historic Bosnia-Herzegovina, where Catholic Croats, Orthodox-Christian Serbs and Muslim Bosnians fought each other for three years in a war of ethnic cleansing.
In 1995, after 100,000 people had died, the US forced the parties to accept a ceasefire, known as the Dayton Accord. Since then the international community has kept the place running with billions in aid money.
In Sarajevo, the Cafe asks Bosnians if they can overcome historic hostilities, dysfunctional government and international indifference to create a stable country.
