Challenge: Find "Holy War" In The Qur'an

Challenge: Can You Find "Holy War" In The Qur'an?

Commentary by: Dr. Jamal Badawi

The word "Holy War," EXACT translation in the Arabic language is: "Harb (war) Muqadasah (holy)"

Irionically, the term "Holy War," war CREATED by the Catholic Church during the First Crusade.

"JIHAD," means: "To Struggle."

Jihad is divided into 2 parts:

a) The Greater Jihad, which is, struggling with one's self to combat temptations and desires.

b) The Lesser Jihad, whic is, defending one's nation against a military attack/invasion.

Jihad & Fighting:

Is Islam violent or peaceful?

What about Jihad What do Muslims say about other religions?

What do Muslims say about Jesus?

All this and more in a one-discussion with Dr. Jamal Badawi and Ahmed Bedier of CAIR.
