U.S. Destabilization & Psychological Warfare Ops

1. Cold War Psyop, McCarthyism, Northwoods:

Describes first large scale domestic psyop (McCarthy Red Scare) Operation Northwoods.

2. The NorthWoods Document:

This is a presentation of the infamous Northwoods Document, highlighting relevant excerpts.

The Northwoods Document was prepared by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and passed on to Secretary of Defense McNamara for approval.

It outlined detailed plans and scenarios that could be orchestrated by the US military to create pretext for military intervention in Cuba.

It called for "positive actions" such as faked hijackings of civil aircraft and injuring and murdering Cuban refugees.

It is rumored that President Kennedy put a stop to its implementation personally. Kennedy removed General Lyman Lemnitzer as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff soon after. Lemnitzer became Supreme Allied Commander of NATO the following January.

This document is an extremely significant window into the mind-set of military officials trying to advance an agenda. It remained classified for 35 years.

We urge that anyone interested in the truth about recent world events takes the time to read these excerpts and consider their meaning.

NOTE: Italics added by us for emphasis. "..." represents removed irrelevant or redundant text, or continuation to the next screen/page. All other punctuation is the same as original documents. Nothing is out of context or misrepresented.

3. Operation NorthWoods:

Author James Bamford, "A Pretext For War", discusses the recently declassified "Operation Northwoods" documents revealing that in 1962 the CIA was planning to stage phony terrorist attacks on the US and blame it on Cuba to start a war. Sound familiar?
