1. See the Middle East through Israeli eyes.

2. Treat American and Israeli government statements as hard news.

3. Ignore the historical context.

4. Avoid the fundamental legal and moral issues posed by the Israeli occupation.

5. Suppress or minimize news unfavorable to the Israelis.

6. Muddy the waters when necessary.

7. Credit all Israeli claims, even if wholly unfounded.

8. Doubt all Palestinian assertions, no matter how self-evident.

9. Condemn only Palestinian violence.

10. Disgrace the international consensus supporting Palestinian rights.

11. Fabricate information to start wars.

12. The golden rule which hovers above all other rules:

Equate anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism
