DOD's Dictionary Uses Escalation Rather Than Surge
****************************************************************
The Department of Defense's Dictionary of Military and Associated Terms yields additional evidence in the ongoing heated debate over the Iraq War's terminology.
MoveOn.org's Adam Green notes, the Pentagon’s dictionary does not contain an entry for “surge” but does have an entry for “escalation”:
"Escalation(DOD) A deliberate or unpremeditated increase in scope or violence of a conflict."
It is my belief that, many of the MSM's talking heads are deliberately misdirecting the American people by constantly using the term “surge” to describe Herr Bush’s new Iraq Strategy.
“Surge” was first used--then continuously regurgitated--by the mainstream media in November 2006, the term was specifically defined as a "temporary," "short-term" increase, in U.S. troops.
The most prominent warmongers, who favor a strategy of escalation, all reject a short-term increase in U.S. troops, and the Bush regime refuses to specify the length of the escalation.
“I think no one has a really clear idea of how long that might be,” Chief Warlord Robert Gates informed the American people, yesterday.

Thanks. Will do!
